UNDER THE ROCKS

Hello dearies, how have you all being? Sure you enjoyed the short break we were given(though President Goodluck Jonathan spoilt my Tuesday morning when he renamed my dear Alma Mater UNILAG to MAUL)…...moving on, A BIG THANK YOU to everyone of you that has taken time out to read my posts or gone through my blog. THANK YOU SO MUCH, GOD BLESS YOU…..Haven said that, today’s post is all about my visit to THE OLUMO ROCK in Abeokuta (am doing my NYSC in Abeokuta)……..
……Abeokuta means “under the rock” is situated in Ogun state (from the Tour we took, I learnt that the word Ogun has 8 different meanings, I will just put them in English, they are...sweat, twenty, war, jars, to climb, long, and 2 others that I cannot remember) , which is where I derived the title of the post from…. I have been wanting to visit the Olumo Rock, so my friend CJ and I decided to go (thank u dear)….I had so much fun and believe me I have never being that high in my entire life…we were 1370meters high ^_^…..it was pretty scary…..okay, enough of my story, I took some pictures, well with the help of my friend….I hope you enjoy them……

COMMON FASHION ERRORS!!! FOR LADIES

Being fashionable isn't always about wearing the latest fashion trends, it is about wearing what suits you best as well....

..............Expressing yourself and keeping up with fashion trends is good but keep in mind that not everything might work for you. Some clothes may offer some flattering advantages for your body while others might not.
It is important to know your style and to know what type of clothes are suitable for your body......

........and honestly, there's no shame in making a fashion flub every now and again, i make them, even celebrities regularly featured on best-dressed lists have been known to do so. You can, however, drastically reduce the number of fashion mistakes you make by eliminating a few bad style habits.

Clothes that don't fit:

It is funny but some people do not know that wearing a smaller size will not make them appear smaller, it is actually the reverse(LOL). Clothes that are too small show bulges, lines and make a body look larger....A good fit glides over your body and does not show any lines or bumps ^_^
Also, don't wear baggy clothes to hide your extra pounds because you will do exactly the opposite. Baggy clothes will add extra pounds to your figure. Wear what fits you exactly, not too loose and not too tight because that way you will look better.
Don't wear pants that have the waistline too low and make your panties show when you sit down. If however you like wearing really low waist pants wear underwear that have low waist as well so they won't show.

Wearing inappropriate clothing
When in a working environment make sure that your clothes are not flashy [unless you are in a creative field], do not wear short skirts [more than three inches above the knee], sleeveless tops, plunging necklines, stilettos, too much jewellery, leather pants or skirts, or anything that shimmers.

Shabby or wrong shoes

Shoes are very essential, they are noticed more than you think...Take care of your shoes by keeping them polished and in good repair. Your shoes complement your outfit, so it is important to learn which footwear is appropriate for the outfit and the occasion. For example, if you work in a professional environment, pumps are the best choice. Wearing loafers or sandals with a suit would ruin your look and your credibility instantly....
Old looking shoes and dirty shoes attract undesired attention making your outfit look unpolished. Keep your shoes in good condition because a nice pair of shoes can make a big difference.

Inappropriate Hairstyle
Your hairstyle creates the first impression. From your hairstyle people will assume your status, age, intelligence etc., This doesn’t mean that judgments are correct; they happen instinctively. visit your hair stylist regularly and while you at it make sure you look HOT!!!
Having a bad hair day is something that happens occasionally (well it happens to me), but having bad hair every day will ruin your look. Since hair is so important to an overall look, it is very important that you choose a style that suits your face shape, a colour that complements your skin, and a stylist who can assist you with them. Hair colour that does not complement your skin tone, especially when over-treated, or left too long without a trim is bad for your image.

Wrong colours

The no.1 rule of looking great is wearing colours that suit your skin tone. well, this isn't a glaring fashion mistake but rather very subtle. It is subtle, in that, when looking at a person wearing the wrong colour, you might not be able to pinpoint the problem, but you will know something is not right(u know this is very true LOL). When you wear the wrong colours, your skin doesn’t look as healthy as it should – it actually looks drab and dull. By simply wearing the colours that suit your skin tone your skin will look clearer; the lines and wrinkles will be less apparent.

To look your best, wear clothing colours that complement your skin. Most people have either warm or cool skin tones. Those with cool skin tones look best in colours that have blue undertones. Those with warm skin tones look best in colours that have a yellow undertone. A quick way to determine whether you are warm or cool is to place a piece of gold [warm] jewellery against your skin and a piece of silver [cool]. If the gold blends better you are warm, if the silver blends better you are cool.

 Make-up Disaster

This is one error that can destroy your whole look, like TOTALLY ....If your make-up can be seen, you are wearing too much. Make-up is meant to enhance features, not hide them. The most common make-up mistake is too much blush, too much foundation, and too much eyeliner. You’ll know if you’re wearing too much foundation, if it looks thick and pasty. Your skin should be seen through the foundation. Remember, the best look is natural and, yes, you can get this with foundation. The key is to choose a colour that matches your natural skin tone and use it sparingly.

Eyeliner is meant to make the eyelashes look thicker. To do this, put it as close to your lash line as you can. Thick black lines of eyeliner are too harsh, especially if you have a light complexion and light hair.

Blush should not be seen as line or blob, but rather a natural glow. Choose a shade that is not too dark or light and blends well with your natural colour.
Inappropriate makeup ruins even the most stylish outfit. It draws attention so try to keep your make-up clean and occasion appropriate. If it's daytime wear light and natural make-up and if it's evening you can go for darker eyeshadow and evening make-up.

Taking care of your hair, skin, eyebrows and nails is a MUST in good grooming. If you are wearing the most fabulous sari or suit in the most striking colour and have not paid attention to grooming, you’ve ruined your whole look.

Slipping slips

When you wear a slip, make sure that it does not show beneath the hem of your skirt and that they fit snuggly around your waist. Best buy them in different lengths. To make it seem that you are not wearing a slip, wear one that matches the color of your dress or skirt.

Over Matching
Don't match your clothes too much. You don't want to be dressed all in one color. Try to match the colors with other colors that work well so you will look more stylish.
Wearing unsuitable colors can create a pale look. Some colors are only suitable for certain skin tones so pick your colors carefully.

Wrinkled Clothes

Wrinkled clothes can make even the most beautiful outfits look bad. Quickly iron your clothes before you leave the house so your clothes will be nice and neat.

Too Much Accessories
Don't over do it with the accessories. Many outfits just need a bracelet, a pair of earrings or a necklace, not all at once. Look in the mirror and if you think it's too much take some jewelery off. Sometimes less is more.

A stunning look includes your whole appearance – hair, make-up, clothes and attitude. All it takes is one fashion oversight to ruin an otherwise perfect look.

P.S. Am sorry for the lack of pictures but i hope i was able to help.
